The transformation will be visibly established by renaming the FOCBS the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS). The name change will come into effect on 1 January 2022. From that date, resources, buildings, IT applications, websites and email addresses will gradually be renamed, relabelled or get new signage. The rayed cross and term for Customs in four languages, Zoll-Douane-Dogana-Duana, will be used on vehicles and uniforms. The FOCBS uniforms are based on the new Armed Forces clothing system (MBAS) and are expected to be delivered in 2025; in the meantime, operational staff members will receive a standard transitional uniform from mid-2021.
