Please note the customs office opening hours for the declaration (customs clearance) of merchandise. Declarations can be made from Monday to Friday during clearance hours; some customs offices are also open on Saturday mornings.
Entry requirements for Switzerland
Border controls at Switzerland's borders with the Schengen countries were lifted on 15 June 2020, and full freedom of movement for persons with all EU/EFTA countries and the United Kingdom applies again.

Holidays
Customs offices are closed for commercial goods traffic on national holidays, and therefore no customs declarations are possible on those days. These are the following days: New Year's Day (01.01.), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Thursday, Whit Monday, National Holiday (01.08.), Christmas Day (25.12.) and Boxing Day (26.12.).

On cantonal holidays, the customs offices remain closed in the respective cantons, and no customs declarations can be carried out there on those days. Please check the cantonal holidays:
