Passar 1.0: staggered changeover

The new goods traffic system, Passar, was rolled out on 1 June 2023.

The FOCBS and the business community have agreed to a staggered changeover from NCTS and e-dec to Passar for the individual customs procedures and business events. The joint timetable was last updated on 13 July:

Transit

01.06.2023–31.10.2023	Changeover to Passar during this phase for: Direct international transit
01.06.2023–30.04.2024	Changeover to Passar during this phase for: Initiation of international transit through Switzerland (border process) Initiation of international transit through Switzerland (domicile process for authorised consignors)
17.03.2024	Changeover to Passar at cut-off date for:    International transit with destination in Switzerland (border process) International transit with destination in Switzerland (domicile process for authorised consignors) Domestic transit
30.04.2024	Last goods declaration for transit in NCTS
01.05.2024	Transit now only with Passar. NCTS is deactivated. Pending operations will be completed by end-May at the latest via a search process.
